Balmy Alley: Lovers Lane SF

Celebrate Love at San Francisco’s Lover’s Lane Festival in the Mission District
San Francisco, CA – In a world riddled with division and conflict, the artists and activists of San
Francisco’s Mission District remain steadfast in their belief that LOVE will reign supreme.
2024 will be the third annual Lover’s Lane festival, a vibrant celebration of love in all its forms,
taking place during Valentine’s Day weekend.
Lover’s Lane is a family-friendly event that aims to embrace the diverse spectrum of love.
Founded by muralist Lucia Gonzalez and milkman Alfredo Uribe, devoted residents of Balmy
Alley, have enlisted the support of fellow community culture keepers to amplify the collective
love that brings the Mission District community together. The festival will showcase local
artisans, DJs, performers, entrepreneurs, and community organizations, transforming Balmy
Alley into a haven of love.
Attendees can expect an array of interactive experiences and tokens of love crafted with skill
and passion by local vendors. The festival will feature a variety of entertainment, including new
and classic love songs, creating a captivating ambiance. Lover’s Lane has even been witness to
extraordinary expressions of love, such as a wedding at the 24th Street entrance to the festival.
For these active San Franciscan’s space holding, culture creation, and the provision of a wide
range of family-friendly and adult activities is a hallmark expression of Love and critical
resistance in a time of constant conflict. Lover’s Lane invites everyone to come and join in the
celebration of love, reminding us all that love has the power to unite and transcend boundaries.
