At midday on Wednesday, it’s quiet at the corner of 23rd and Bryant. A woman at the crosswalk is making sure pedestrians are safe.

But at around midnight on Tuesday, a woman was approached by a couple who asked for directions, police reported.

Then they asked for money. When the victim said she had none, they pointed a knife at her and asked her to take them to her house. There she gave them the money and the suspects fled, she told police.

The scene at 16th and Mission on Wednesday was noisy, with people out and about trying to cool off with a drink.

At around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, however, a man was robbed at knife-point. The suspects punched him in the face and took his cash and cell phone. The victim refused to go to the hospital, according to SFPD.

No arrests have been made in either incident.
