They started at 10:30 on 21st Street, but continue north to Liberty, 20th, 19th and so on. They’re all right off Valencia – mostly to the west.
You can get original art, chairs, disks, books, a dress – maybe a new friend.

I’ve been a Mission resident since 1998 and a professor emeritus at Berkeley’s J-school since 2019. I got my start in newspapers at the Albuquerque Tribune in the city where I was born and raised. Like many local news outlets, The Tribune no longer exists. I left daily newspapers after working at The New York Times for the business, foreign and city desks. Lucky for all of us, it is still here.
As an old friend once pointed out, local has long been in my bones. My Master’s Project at Columbia, later published in New York Magazine, was on New York City’s experiment in community boards.
As founder and an editor at ML, I've been trying to figure out how to make my interest in local news sustainable. If Mission Local is a model, the answer might be that you - the readers - reward steady and smart content. As a thank you for that support we work every day to make our content even better.

Hi, I would like to know what is the formal process to sell at a farmer’s market.
Thanks.
Hi Lidia, what can i do to be one of them, i would like to sell my arts and crafts there. Do i need a seller permit or what and where to get it? thanks, luisa
Luisa: These are just informal sales and it seems that folks are just putting out their goods. But the 24th Street BART station has sales every Saturday and you can go there and sign up to have a booth. Also the fundraiser for the 22nd and Bartlett Farmer’s market is going to open booths for local vendors. For that you should contact jeremyashaw@gmail.com
