Today from Mission Local

Good afternoon!

Carnaval’s over, but the neighborhood love remains. Thanks to over 200 donors, Mission Local hit our May matching-fund goal of $50,000! We’ve still got 3 more days to go: Please join your neighbors, and make your gift now.

Does San Francisco need a stronger mayor? Well, we asked the D5 supervisorial candidates their thoughts on where power really lies in the city. Only one said, “Smaller government?ย  Hellโ€ฆo yes.”

Over in D7, we asked the candidates for supervisor about the L-Taraval project, which will upgrade transit infrastructure and has been going on since 2019. Not everyone feels patient.

More soon,

Sara
