Good afternoon! We’re starting the week off with sunshine and crime stories.

Has your car’s catalytic converter been stolen? You’re not alone: more than 20% of city-owned vehicles have been hit by brazen thieves, with many left waiting months for repairs. One city employee said, bitterly, “We could start a catalytic converter support group.”

Undercover police arrested three women last week for allegedly selling stolen goods at the 16th Street plaza. The Department of Public Works, which is in charge of confiscating goods from unpermitted vendors, wasn’t part of the operation.

On a happier note: If you missed the parade this weekend, check out our glorious footage of dancing in the streets at the Lunar New Year celebrations.

More soon,

Sara
