A street fight led to a stabbing last night that sent one man to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition. At 9:48 p.m. on Thursday, a 40-year-old man was fighting with a man in his 30s near the corner of 17th Street and South Van Ness Avenue when he was stabbed by his opponent on the side of his chest. The victim was transported to the hospital, and the police have not made an arrest.
Two Robberies
At 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday, a 24-year-old man was on 18th Street between Church and Sanchez when he was approached by two men in their 30s. The pair took the man’s computer case and threatened to shoot him before taking his cell phone. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction, and the police have not made an arrest.
And at 3:09 p.m. on Thursday, a 51-year-old woman was in an office on Capp between 16th and 17th when a man in his late 20s or early 30s entered the office and wandered around. The woman left her office and then returned to see the suspect rummaging through her purse. She confronted the man, who then pushed her down, stole her purse, and fled the scene.
Her co-workers chased after the man and retrieved her purse two blocks away, all her property intact. The police have not made an arrest.
