I’m trying to figure out if the Mission can claim any part of the new venture by Daniel Patterson of Coi and Roy Choi of Kogi BBQ in Los Angeles to go burger-to-burger against McDonald’s with the healthy Loco’l.   Regardless, sounds like a very good idea.

Unlike San Francisco, it appears that New York has had some success in getting Airbnb to hand over data on hosts as well as hosts. 

And cell phone thefts may be on the decline as a new kill-switch law goes into effect for cell phones made after January, SF Weekly reports.

  1. You are overstating the issue of Airbnb handing over data about hosts. In fact they are only handing over details of a very small percentage of the hosts they have on file, and only in those cases where there are specific problems identified AKA the “bad actors”.

    The thousands of other Airbnb hosts in NYC will maintain their privacy, as they should be able to, and the NY Attorney Ceneral has stated clearly that he is not interested in that majority.

    So this really isn’t a big deal since Airbnb would always hand over such information for an individual if there is a legitimate subpoena and cause, on a case-by-case basis.

    But there is no justification here for a blanket disclosure and I do not understand why you imply that there should be.
