Two men climbed through a construction project next to a home on Albion Street at 1:45 a.m. Monday and stole two mountain bikes, according to the homeowner.

One of the suspects then climbed into their home through the garage. The owners were sleeping and woke up in time to chase the intruder out and call 911.

The suspect “fled by climbing back out through the neighboring construction and jumped down to the sidewalk.”

The owner wrote, “There were a few people who saw him do this, instead of calling the police they asked him if he was ok! Totally insane.”

The owner asked if we could post “a friendly neighborhood reminder for everyone to make sure their doors are locked up at night and if you happen to see someone climbing into a home or climbing out holding gear or bikes, that seems suspicious, please call the police!”
