It’s 7 a.m., 61° and mostly cloudy. Looks like the temperature is cooling down a bit – highs are only expected to reach 66° today, and remain in the upper 60’s the rest of the week. Details for the next 10 days can be found here.

City College Redemption? Open Letter to 16th and Mission: The Bold Italic features a love letter to the famous Mission intersection. “Let’s be up-front,” Noah Sanders writes. “There are days when I love you and there are days when I hate you.” He continues:

In a neighborhood slowly being consumed by upscale eateries, an influx of entitled technillionaires, and the polished sheen of chic boutiques, you stand as a stark reminder of everything we as a city have made an effort to thoughtlessly forget.

And you – the new, pretty eatery with ingredients both exotic and well bred, with an interior that love and money had been lavished upon. I thought you would never go for a girl like me. I lashed out.

About a month ago, The Chronicle’s travel section profiled 24th Street. Do you think it did 24th justice? If you could profile any street in the Mission, which one would you choose?

Have a good day!
