A man who died after being stabbed in the neck with rebar last week near 16th and Mission streets has been identified as 51-year-old Jose Villa, the San Francisco Medical Examiner said.
Villa was involved in an altercation with two men early Thursday morning when the incident happened, police said.
Although police declined to give more information about the incident because it is still an ongoing investigation, Mission District Police Captain Bob Moser said an arrest has been made in the case.
