La Rumba No Para (The Rumba Doesn’t Stop),a salsa love story about growing up in San Francisco, La Misión explores themes of love, loss, and addiction through live performance and multimedia that is set to premiere November 8th-10th 2024 at ODC Theater in San Francisco, California.

Directed and choreographed by Andrea Rodriguez, the piece traverses through the streets surrounding 24th Street, where a melding of family secrets, culture, Latinx music and dance are explored through the themes of love, loss, and addiction. This multidisciplinary dance production features a dance film, live performance, and spoken word with original music composed by Asdru Sierra (Ozomatli).
