San Francisco police officers arrested a 47-year-old man in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred early Friday morning in the Mission District.

Officers arrived at the 1900 block of Mission Street just after midnight on Feb. 6, where they found a victim with stab wounds. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and later died, according to SFPD’s news release.

Police detained a suspect near 15th and Mission streets who was identified as Paulino Inxah, a San Francisco resident. Officers searched Inxah and seized a knife.

Inxah was booked into San Francisco County Jail with charges of murder and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

Although an arrest has been made, this remains an open and active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.

  1. Can you guys please do some coverage of the exceptionally high amount of servoces in this area and also the intentional funneling of homeless and drug traffic from downtown to the North Mission? Its getting very scary and me and my neibors feel completely ignored by Jackie and Daniel. Happy to discuss more or shoare the sotries that are circulating amongst our community. Numerous accounts of harassment and threats to mothers and daughters.

  2. 16th & Missioin a block from this killing remains a haven for violent criminals in spite of great efforts by the SFPD to bring it under control. It’s so bad that a beat-over fentanyl addict at that intersection deliberately crashed into me because he didn’t like me talking to a cop, who was right there but did nothing about it.

  3. I have got to agree with the other poster. 16th and mission, where I have to transfer to the #22 is scary. Fortunately I lived in the TL several years and so I’m able to negotiate my way through a flock of users. However someone whose lived experience might find it difficult. The are shades of the tenderloin, but it’s not as bad. I attribute it to a saturation of unhoused drug users who have no problem with using in the street.
