I am a native San Franciscan. Since becoming a photographer I’ve found The City always ready for her close-up, blemishes and all. I love doing shots here— can’t let tourists have all the fun.

Hi Walt, lead the way my friend!
We were so hoping this place would re-open after the fire. We loved this place we and they always served the best nacho.
Death by a thousand cuts, indeed. I continue to send the best of positive vibes to the folks whose businesses have taken these kinds of hits.
Leafs play the loathsome B’s (Boston Bruins) today. Should be a pretty good dog fight. B’s are justifiably feeling their oats, having secured the President’s Cup; Leafs continue in their role of mercurial nemesis in pursuit of The Cup that matters.
El Pollo. I always loved that place, especially since it was right next to the 16th St. Station. It was one of the few spots I ventured out to in the early days of the of the pandemic. Broke my heart when they shut down due to a 🔥. Even sadder that they never re-opened.
Any word on Xanath 🍦 or are they closed permanently, too?
Wow. Dang shame this place hasn’t been able to rebuild. Used to be a favorite dinner stop for pickup on the way to the ‘watt to catch a game. Wonder what the status of the former residents is as well. Fingers crossed for positives. Meantime, good documentary snap.
Thank you! Vaguely recall reading about the fire which displaced not only the business but residents living above— and having a feeling of foreboding that the situation would not be remedied in a timely manner. (Two years now?) “Death by a thousand cuts” when one loses yet another favorite spot. Hope all is well. Go, Leafs!
