Hi there,

The San Francisco Marathon is proud to announce the 2017 race winners. The male and female winners of the full marathon are:

Men:  Jorge Maravilla. Time: 2:28:23. Hometown: Mill Valley

Jorge emigrated from El Salvador with his mother to the San Joaquin Valley. He started running track in 3rd grade but didn’t start long distance until age 30. He then entered his first ultra-marathon at the Tahoe Rim Trail 100 and won the race in 18:48. When he isn’t training in the Marin Headlands he is the General Manager at the San Francisco Running Company.

Women: Devin McMahon. Time: 2:52:49. Hometown:  Stanford, CA

Devin is a Ph.D. student in Earth System Science at Stanford. She graduated from Cornell University where she ran Women’s Track and Field all four years. Before that, she ran cross country and track and field in high school. Devin was not expecting to be a top finisher in today’s race and was surprised to come in first.

Jorge and Devin will each be receiving two roundtrip tickets to Paris, courtesy of Air France. You can view the full details in the release pasted below.
