A 20-year-old man was injured in a shooting on Hancock Street, near Church Street between 19th and 18th streets, on Tuesday evening. Police responded to a Shot Spotter shot-detection device activation on Hancock Street at 7:57 p.m., immediately after which witnesses reported seeing a vehicle parked on the street and hearing verbal commotion.

The witnesses said they initially hid from view, and when looking again, reported that the vehicle was gone.  The 20-year-old suffered from a gunshot wound and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and police report no arrests in connection with the shooting.
