Police report a 26-year-old woman was walking down the sidewalk near 21st and Harrison streets just after 9 p.m. on Monday when two men estimated to be 18 years old got out of a silver car, approached the woman, and tried to take her backpack.
The victim tried to fight back but the men punched her and took the backpack, fleeing on foot westbound along 21st street. No arrests were made, and the victim was transported to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition.

An unknown suspect reportedly entered the front door of a residence on 22nd Street between Vermont Street and Potrero Avenue around 6 a.m. on Monday. The suspect managed to steal three laptops and a smartphone while the four residents slept, then fled on foot through the back yard.
At 5:10 a.m. on Tuesday, a 60-year-old woman heard noise in the downstairs area of her home on San Bruno Avenue between 17th and Mariposa streets. When she walked downstairs, the woman saw the front door open and the garage door open.
Upon walking into the garage, the woman noticed the side door to a backyard was also open and spotted a man in the backyard with a tool in his hand. The man dropped the tool, jumped over the fence, and ran off. No arrest was made and nothing was stolen.
