A 34-year-old man was beaten and then robbed near 26th Street and South Van Ness Avenue on Thursday after leaving a nearby bar where he had been drinking. Police report that the victim left the bar at 11 p.m. and walked out onto the street to get transportation when a 32-year-old man ran out in front of him and punched him three times in the face.

The the suspect then stole the bargoer’s wallet and money and fled on foot. No Arrest has been made in the attack, and the victim suffered a cut lip and a swollen temple but refused medical attention.

Crime is trauma and the county offers different services. Here is a link to a page of services.
