A motorcyclist who allegedly hit an eight-year-old girl on 25th and Folsom Streets the afternoon of June 4 was booked on charges of a felony DUI, felony hit and run, felony reckless driving and four traffic infractions. The victim, previously reported to be nine years old, was transported to the hospital with a life-threatening head injury after a motorcyclist ran through a stop sign and struck her.

Police reported that the suspect, Nelson Burgos, a 49-year-old resident of San Francisco, stayed on the scene of the incident.
