At 3:30 p.m. on Monday, a 25-year-old man was at work in an unknown shop near 16th and Mission streets when a man in his 40s standing in line shoved someone else in line out of the way and punched the victim. The the victim punched the suspect back, and the suspect then fled on foot. The victim drove himself to the hospital and is in stable condition.
And at 9:40 p.m. on Monday, a 31-year-old woman was walking near 20th and Harrison streets when a man in his 20s grabbed her purse from behind. The victim tried holding onto her purse and then fell, hurting her calf. The suspect fled on foot with her purse. The police have not made an arrest.
