A 24-year-old man lost consciousness after being repeatedly kicked in the head during an altercation with another man early Wednesday morning. The assault took place at 2:40 a.m. near Mission and 17th streets, during which the victim’s brother witnessed the suspect, a 23-year-old man, kicking the victim while he was on the ground. Police responding to the scene were able to arrest the suspect, and the victim was transported to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
