One man suffered a non-life-threatening injury in the face after a shooting that occurred Friday night. The man was standing on the street when he heard the sound of gunshots. Despite his injury, he was able to flee to 26th and Harrison streets, where he was picked up by an ambulance. See a more extensive report here.

Two Stabbings

Two 22-year-old men were injured in a stabbing early Saturday morning, just after midnight, on 16th street near Mission. Police say a fight had broken out among a large group of people, and may have been gang-related. One of the victims was stabbed in the chest, while the other suffered stab wounds to the arm and chest. The victims left the scene and later checked themselves into Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara with non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of the suspect is unknown.

A fight between two men on 16th and Valencia street at about 11:10 pm on Saturday night resulted in one of the men being stabbed in the chest. His injury was not life-threatening, and the 53-year old man was transported to San Francisco General Hospital. The suspect, described to be between 30-40, fled the scene, and no arrest has been made.

Bicycle Ambush

Around 11 p.m. Saturday, at 16th and Potrero streets, an unidentified man and woman riding bicycles ambushed a 54-year-old man riding his own bike down Potrero Avenue. The suspects rode up behind the cyclist and clotheslined him, causing the man to fall off his bike and hit his head. The suspects then proceeded to steal his bike before fleeing westbound on 16th Street. The victim suffered light injuries — a swollen eye and a head injury that was non life-threatening. He was transported to Davis Medical Center, but the suspects remain outstanding.

Three Robberies

A 29-year-old man, was walking towards two of the suspects, two males estimated to be between the ages of 25-30, on Mission Street between 16th and 17th when he saw one of the suspects brandishing a gun while other flashed a knife. The suspect holding the gun then punched the victim in the face, causing to fall to the ground, before robbing him. The victim attempted to defend himself by grabbing the other suspect’s knife and was cut.  The men were able to steal the victim’s wallet, watch, and gold necklace before jumping into a dark minivan, fleeing toward Castro Street. The victim suffered a laceration on his head and lost consciousness. No arrests have been made.

A 34-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint on 22nd and Capp streets 4:26 a.m. on Saturday. The suspect is described as 25 to 30 years old and reportedly first approached two other men, who were sitting in front of a house drinking beer a block away. The suspect demanded money and beer from them, but the men refused and ran inside of the house. The suspect then approached the victim and brandished a handgun, demanding that the victim put his hands up. The victim complied and was robbed of his wallet and a gold chain.

The violent weekend concluded with a robbery with force at the 16th Street BART station at 5:45 am Sunday morning. The victim was a 26-year old male who was walking down the street when he was approached by the suspects — a male believed to be between the ages of 30 and 35, and a female between 20 and 25 years old. The suspects were seemingly unarmed, and pushed the man inside a nearby building. There, they forced him to sit on the ground and remove his shoes. The suspects stole the victim’s smartphone with a wallet case and a bank card — along with his shoes — before fleeing the scene on foot.
