Z-space has a 3-day-only show called No. 1 that ends this Saturday! It’s inspired by Hitchcock’s women, and it certainly sounds interesting. The show is at 8pm and tickets are $10 online and $15 at the door.
Cristiano:
I’m a sucker for scavenger hunts, so my Sunday will be mostly an effort to win an Outside Lands ticket, here . It’s not a Mission event, but can’t believe our ‘hood wouldn’t be involved, somehow [spoiler alert, the first hint of the hunt it’s clearly in the Mission.
Also, The World Dodgeball Society on Sunday will put together my biggest strengths: singing and coordinations. An event in which it’s expected what you’ll sing and you’ll dodge balls. I’ll pass, but also recommend it.
On Sunday night, as a cherry on top of the weekend, “Bad Asians” Candid Storytelling Night, at the basement of Lost Weekend Video. That’s a no brainer.
Laura:
If you’re a Roxie Theatre fan, now’s the time to show it with some elbow grease. Their “Big Clean,” which includes everything from general cleaning to set painting to electrical work, ends August 3. You can sign up here for a specific availability and skill set, and maybe win a Patron Membership for your hard work.
Also, swing by McCoppin Hub on Saturday between noon and 5 p.m. for art and music during their street artisan fair.
Lydia:
MAPPs a must. Pick up your programs Saturday afternoon at the Red Poppy Cafe. Then, the Factory Floor play at Z-Space sounds good and how many other people are headed tonight the Community Music Center’s Outsound New Music Summit?
Sunday – The inauguration of the Valencia Art Wall’s new parklet from noon to 4. First, you’ll get to meet Bruce Tomb, who created the art wall and then you’ll get to see what he has in mind for those podiums and who will dare to speak.
