UPDATE:  The restaurant robbed was “El Paraíso” on the corner of Treat Avenue and 25th Street. The suspect – a 25-year-old San Francisco resident – was arrested by police at Folsom and 25th Street. Though he was arrested, the restaurant has not recovered the stolen money.

Just as dinnertime was approaching on Wednesday, one restaurant on the corner of Treat Avenue and 25th street was in for a nasty surprise. At 5:20 p.m. a man in his late 20s entered the restaurant and cut to the front of the line. He then pulled out a revolver, pointed it at the two women working behind the counter, and demanded money from the register.

The women complied, and the suspect then fled on foot on 25th Street, towards Folsom Street.
