KQED will be publishing a new series called “Immigration Shift,” which reflects on the lives of immigrants and the daily challenges they face. Today, one in every three workers in California are immigrants, with that number steadily growing.
This week, labor activist Jesus Solorio, an eBay janitor who champions the rights and wages for low-income workers in the Silicon Valley, is profiled.
When reflecting on immigration activism, Solorio tells KQED that, “There are a lot of people who are scared to get involved because it always happens where they are let go.”
You can find the story of Solorio here, and watch for the continuation of the series on KQED.
