The Business Times reports that Google is in talks with the Lennar Urban over space at the Hunter’s Point Shipyard.

A potential deal doesn’t appear imminent for Google to lease or buy a slice of the planned 3 million square feet of offices and R&D space at the abandoned naval base. Google – almost always tight-lipped about real-estate plans – hasn’t signed an agreement to lease space, nor has it discussed a specific space requirement with Lennar, said one of the sources. It sounds too early to tell, but is definitely a larger space than the one that Google was reportedly looking at in the Mission District back in 2014, but that space at 298 Alabama eventually went to Dandelion Chocolate.
