Police report an armed robbery occurred at 17th and Ord Streets Thursday night at around 9:30.

The victim, a 26-year-old man, was sitting in a parked car near the corner. A suspect, a man in his early 30s, approached the car and pointed a gun at the 26-year-old.

The man holding the gun demanded the 26-year-old open all the doors of the vehicle, to which he complied. The suspect searched the car and took the other man’s backpack which contained his passport and immigration documents.

The suspect fled on foot and no arrests were made.
