It is now  53˚ and expected to rise to 66˚. Details for the next ten days are here.

Today’s block: 26th to Cesar Chavez, Bartlett to Mission.

I was born at St. Lukes. It was a natural birth. My mom told me she went through labor without pain killers. When I was giving birth to my own son, I held onto this thought. If my mom could do it, so could I. Although I had a difficult and complicated labor, nurses, doulas and doctors were astounded by my fortitude in refusing meds. My son was born, a sixth generation San Franciscan. Month’s later my mom shared my baby book to recall my own birth. A notation in the memory book clearly indicated my mom received a dose of narcotics in the second stage of labor. At first I was shocked. I then became angry, soon realizing my mom’s incorrect memory actually had benefited me and her grandson. I have since concluded that delusions often come with benefits.

With the light good early on, so much the better to sign on to document your block. Don’t wait! Let us know what day and block you would like at info@missionlocal.com.

You can see a map of all of the blocks here. The blocks in grey are being saved for others who have signed up. Let us save a block for you as well.
