The clocks sprung forward and Mission Local was up on Sunday morning searching for stylishly dressed early risers along 24th Street, between York and Hampshire Streets. After a lingering fog was sucked back over Sutro Tower the sun warmed the streets to a picture-perfect 64 degrees where we caught Mission dwellers beginning their day; running errands for the week, snagging a breakfast bite, or meandering along shops with a loved one. Mari: All the dresses! Long, short, flowing and tight ones!

Mari: I wore a hat to hide my hair and be comfortable since I’m interviewing people this morning and asking them what their thoughts are about the current drought.
Christine
ML: What are you most excited to dust off and start wearing?
Christine: I am SO excited to buy some short overalls. The older I get the more like a child I seem to want to dress.
Elizabeth and Alejandro

Elizabeth: We’re going to eat waffles and a Mexican breakfast.

Elizabeth: He looks sexy in just about everything!

I ate a breakfast burrito that I had saved. There are so many Mexican restaurants, I try a different one every day.

Brooke: I can’t wait to wear tall, lace-up boots and vintage shift dresses.

Brooke:We just ate at St. Francis Fountain. I’m a little embarrassed to say what I ordered because I got a tuna melt and its breakfast…
What do you love about Kyle’s style?
Brooke: He isn’t too styled, or professional looking. He always has a unpolished look to him.
ML: Kyle, what are you most excited to dust off and start wearing?
Kyle: Can’t wait to wear shorts and not have to wear layers! I’m looking forward to those few awesome spring/summer evenings when I can walk around in just a t-shirt.

What do you love about Brooke’s style?
Kyle: Those wizard sleeves she’s always wearing, they’re lace-y and billowy. But I really like that she’s not influenced by the local SF look, she does her own thing and that’s awesome.

Theo: These were my only clean clothes and I also wanted to wear something soft.

Vic: Well, this is the same thing I wore out last night. I woke up on a friends’ couch. But I dressed in sneakers last night knowing I would need to walk off my hangover this morning.

Vic: I’m going to St. Francis Fountain to meet friends and eat an omelet with lots of ketchup and bacon.
Lynn
ML: What inspired your outfit today?
Lynn: I was supposed to go to Freak Prom last night, so I got dressed up in this outfit…but then ended up staying in, haha. But I really liked the outfit so I wore it today!

Lynn: I’m going to the skate park (Potrero del Sol) to eat my coconut yogurt.

What inspired your outfit today?
Abi: I was biking all day yesterday…and I decided to wear the same thing today.
