San Francisco police report they’ve arrested a purse thief caught in the act on Mission Street Tuesday evening.
The suspect, described at 44-year-old woman, had targeted a 68 year-old woman who was walking with a walker on Mission, near 16th Street, shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect attempted to grab the older woman’s purse, but the older woman wouldn’t let go of it, even as she gripped on to her walker with the other hand.
Though the suspect was eventually able to take the woman’s purse and run off, police officers were reportedly stationed nearby and saw the whole incident occur. They pursued the suspect and arrested her on scene.
