An artist, who goes by the name Taino, hasn’t painted for awhile, but recently “got the bug to paint again.” The owners of the Dollar store at Mission and 16th agreed to let him paint “Glimpse of the Past,” featuring a woman from Mayan civilization, on their storefront. Taino should be finished in a few days, and his creation will watch over the street as the present becomes the new past.
