Don’t you feel like 2015 should be over by now? Either way, the week is almost over so at least we can take solace in that, no? Here’s something to take solace in: a lively run-down of Mission District news vaguely related to business and development. It’s Developments. Don’t worry, it will be over soon.
The Empire Ike’s Back
The sandwich impresario known as Ike’s Place has made moves around the Bay and beyond. Now, the sandwicher has its sights set on the Mission to add to its ever expanding empire.
According to 7×7, Tartine has plans to take over the world. For one, the beloved bakery is opening up a new outpost in the Mission’s eastern edge that will be dubbed the Manufactory.
This week, Twitter’s imperial perch gets one heck of a food court.
The folks behind Mission Street’s Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem (as well as the bars Tonic, Bullit, and more!) continue their expansionist agenda as they open up Buffalo Club in Piattini’s old space.
Meanwhile the empire of vegans mourns the loss of one of its most beloved citadels, with the closing of Millenium. We remaining plant-based troops must keep marching on.
EMPIRE!!!
