It is 11  a.m. and it’s a beautiful day in the Mission. It is now 49˚ and will rise to 57˚. Details for the next ten days here.

Today’s block: Alabama to Florida, 24th to 25th Streets.

These were taken between around 7:30-8:30 a.m. on a chilly Sunday morning. I found myself getting annoyed at all the cars being “in the way” of the picture, but then realized that, for me, they’re an inseparable part of the Mission as well. My partner came along with me and, after looking at the photos I took, she remarked on how differently she and I see things — I saw things she didn’t see, and vice versa. We might have another outing where we each photograph a block or stretch of the Mission, and then compare afterwards what jumped out at each of us.
