In addition to incidents of street harassment and a pedestrian vehicle collision, this weekend the Mission also saw five robberies, one of which involved a stabbing, according to San Francisco Police Department statements.

Early Saturday morning, a little after 3, a woman in a Silver Toyota 4-Runner Silver approached a 25-year-old man and offered him a ride. She drove to a parking lot on Mission Street near the corner of 19th where two other men were waiting. The two men opened the passenger’s door and demanded he hand over his money, which he did. The two suspects and the female driver ran down Capp Street leaving the man and car behind. When police arrived, they determined the car had been stolen.

At 15th and Guerrero around 2 a.m., a 23-year-old man was walking home on 15th Street when a suspect grabbed him from behind, threw him to the ground, and took off with his smart phone before he could get a good look at his attacker.

A 46-year-old man was walking near 23rd and Mission Street when another man began verbally harassing him. The verbal attacks turned into physical ones, and the second man began punching the 46-year-old and then took his wallet. According to police statements, the suspect fled in a white Honda Civic.

When a 25-year employee at a corner store near Potrero Avenue and 23rd Street attempted to get four suspects in their 20s to pay for stolen goods Saturday around 8 p.m., the group of young men attacked the employee. One of them stabbed him with a knife. According to police, the suspects then took off in a 1990s Black Honda Prelude with the stolen merchandise. Following the incident, the store employee went to San Francisco General Hospital with non-life-threatening stab wounds to his stomach.

Sunday morning around 2, a suspect in his 20s approached a 30-year-old man from behind near the corner of 15th and Mission. The suspect grabbed the man’s cellphone and ran, at which point the man chased the suspect. However, another suspect physically blocked the man from further pursuit, knocking him to the sidewalk. The two suspects fled northbound on Mission Street with the stolen cell phone. The man had minor cuts and was treated at California Pacific Medical Center.

    1. C’mon man. One person is not going to solve the crime in the Mission. It takes a community. Besides, looking at Campos for answers, what are you doing?
