Wednesday
At 5:53 p.m. yesterday, a contractor went into the basement of a residence on Sanchez and 24th Streets and found three to four grenades. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team determined the grenades were training grenades. No one was injured.
Thursday
At 3:50 a.m., a 39-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were arguing on 16th Street and South Van Ness. The man poked the woman in the eye with his finger and kicked her in the shin. The woman told him she was going to call the police and headed down the street. The suspect approached her, punched her in the face and took her money and pack of cigarettes from her purse. The suspect fled on foot.
At 4:13 a.m., a 40-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman got into an argument over a campsite location on 13th and Mission Streets. The man pulled out a handgun and shot the woman in the leg before he took off in an unknown direction. The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.
