Cell phones were a popular target of robbery this weekend. No arrests have been made in connection with any of the incidents and no life-threatening injuries were sustained.

Saturday: Three Robberies

Around 3 a.m. on Saturday, a 44-year-old male was walking on 14th Street when he was apparently struck in the head and nose and robbed of his cell phone by an unknown suspect. The man reported that he had woken up on the ground with blood all over him and found his phone missing.

Later that night, six youths approached an 18-year-old man from behind on Camp Street and hit him several times, threw him to the ground and stole his backpack and cell phone. The suspects then fled toward Albion Street. The victim was treated at a local hospital.
