Crime Recap: Robberies at Gunpoint

Robbery with Handgun

At 2:25 a.m. Wednesday, a 43-year-old woman was walking on 22nd and Mission when two men approached her, according to police. One of the suspects pointed his handgun at the woman and the other suspect took her purse. Both of them fled on foot. No arrests have been made.

Robbery at Gunpoint and Carjacking

At 1:40 a.m., four young adults with handguns approached a white four-door vehicle parked on Utah and 25th. The driver was in her car when the suspects approached with at least two guns, police reported.

The suspects demanded that the victim hand over her money and step out of the car. Two of the suspects fled in the car, and the other two fled on foot and were later picked up by the ones in the car, according to the police. The woman lost her car and money, but was not injured. No arrests have been made, according to police.


A 25-year-old walked into the gas station on 17th and South Van Ness at around 2:57 a.m. Wednesday and two men between 35 and 40 years old confronted him, police reported. They punched him several times in the face.

The suspects then went through the victim’s pockets and took his cell phone and wallet. The victim had a swollen face but refused to get medical attention. No arrests have been made.
