On Tuesday evening, a 56-year-old man allegedly drove his car into the back wheel of a cyclist, following a verbal altercation. The rider was knocked down, but did not sustain major injuries.

The driver, identified as Fred Holt, drove away, but was arrested by an off-duty police officer. He is currently being held at the county jail on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
