Ruth Asawa was one of the Bay Area’s leading artists and founder of Ruth’s Table a community art center located at Bethany Center on Capp and 21st streets.  Ruth died this year at the age of 87 but her dream that the table she donated would “continue to serve as a hearth for creativity.”
