Update 11-05-2013: Daniel Morgan, the organizer of the fundraiser, sent us an email notifying us that the funds will only go to his friends at 1448 Valencia St.

Friends of the tenants displaced by a three-alarm fire on Valencia Street have set up an online fundraiser to help them. No one was injured during the fire, but the tenants at 1448-1450 Valencia St found that there was little to salvage after they returned to the site yesterday afternoon.

Per the fundraiser website:

Luckily, our friends noticed the fire and were able to get everyone out of the building before it was completely engulfed in flames. By the evening, when firefighters escorted them one at a time back inside the destroyed building to search for belongings, they found little left intact. Most of their possessions have been lost, and they are now without a place to live. Please help our friends get back on their feet by donating what you can!
