It is 7 a.m, 59° with a splash of clouds, and headed to a sunny 69°. Like yesterday, it will be warming up later in the day. Will the Mission make it to 70° tomorrow? Check out the weather forecast for the next ten days here.
The Mission’s Carnival is one of the best festivals in the world. At least, that’s according to Fest300, an SF-based site whose mission is (no pun intended) to compile a list of — you guessed it– the best festivals in the world. Those included range from the outright random (The National Cowboy Poetry Festival) to the expected (Oktoberfest) to the very best (the Mission’s colorful Carnival). See more here.
For all the film buffs: The 10th annual Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema will open at 6:30 this Thursday at El Rio. Stop by for a night of film and music.
Save the date: Are you a Junot Diaz fan? In September, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Dominican author, whose writing is laced with crass humor and Spanglish one-liners, will be speaking at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco.
Have a great day!
