Mission-based 18 Reasons has announced they are merging with non-profit Three Squares. The merged organization will still be based in the Mission, but will serve the greater Bay Area to “bridge the divide between innovative dirt-to-table education and basic access to fruits and vegetables for working families and low-income communities.” Tonight 18 Reasons will host an 18th Hour Happy Hour to introduce the newly merged organization. They also welcome supporters to an annual Cooking Matters brunch at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Cesar Chavez Elementary School.
TechCrunch reports that Philz Coffee recently raised somewhere between $15 million and $25 million in investment. The primary investor in the round was the firm Summit Partners.
