It’s 8:15 a.m. and 56º, headed to 70º. The bright sunshine continues. What a beautiful spring so far.

One suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing is dead and the other remains in serious condition. A manhunt that had the city on lockdown led to the second suspect’s whereabouts in Watertown. The Washington Post reports that questioning about the motivation behind the violent acts now begins.

This weekend is packed with fun activities. The Cesar E. Chavez Holiday Parade and Festival kicks off at Dolores Park today and ends with a fair on 24th Street. Details can be found here.

Earth Day SF 2013 will be in full swing at Civic Center Plaza by 10 a.m. today. The event includes speakers, live music, green do-it-yourself projects, eco fashion shows and a permaculture village.

And don’t forget about Open Studios in the Mission! More than 200 artists will be opening their studios to the public today and tomorrow, from noon to 6 p.m. Read more here, and check out the art map.
