It’s 7:15 a.m. and 54º, headed to 67º. Today will be another warm, sunny one.

The LA Times reports that the lead author of an amendment to gun legislation, Senator Joe Manchin III, expects over 90 percent of Senate Democrats will support the measure today, but that in order for it to pass, 20 percent of Republicans must vote in favor of it. The bill would expand background checks on gun purchases.
