If you happen to see hundreds of Santas running through the city today (and most likely acting reckless), don’t be alarmed: it’s Red Saturday, a day for Santa imposters to meet, be merry and crawl the pubs. Known as SantaCon, the annual event begins at noon in Union Square. According to “the Low Down on the Ho Down,” the Mission can expect to catch a glimpse, even if Santas aren’t invited:

The Mission kind of looks down on Santa which is exactly why Santa is going there. … There are tons of bars on Valencia between 16th and 17th and on 16th between Valencia and Guererro [sic]. Keep in mind that hipsters sleep late so some bars may not be open until 2-3P.
