A man is in life-threatening condition after he was shot in the torso multiple times Monday night near 15th and Natoma streets, police said.
Police received a call shortly before 8 p.m. that a man had been shot, said officer Carlos Manfredi. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he is being treated. The motive for the shooting is not known at this time, Manfredi said.
Officer Gordon Shyy said that the victim was with friends when a suspect approached him. They exchanged words and the suspect shot the 19-year-old multiple times before fleeing the scene.
No description of the suspect is available at this time, police said. The gang task force is taking the lead on the investigation, Manfredi said.
We will update this story as we get more information.

This was me who got shot. I’m doing fine now I was shot 4 times and luckily am still here. Much love to those who sent me love and seen me at the hospital.
Hi..does anyone have an update? Is the shot guy okay? Was this gang related or a random shooting?
Hi, the police haven’t released an update on the condition of the victim or whether this was gang-related. We’ll update the story as soon as we get more information. Thanks! Helene
Not the first time : http://missionlocal.org/2012/05/man-shot-in-arm-on-15th-and-natoma-streets/
It is pretty clear to everyone who lives close to this location that the apartment on the corner houses gang members.
not the first time. These guys are screwing up the neighborhood, with no regard to any body at all. We have kids playing/skating on this street – and now have to worry about these dumb thugs and their stupid guns. These meatheads have attracted other thugs from the 24th St area to swap bullets. No respect.
The other incident’s story was also not updated… Glad to see the post below that the person who was shot is OK now. Still, would like for some action to be taken on these two shootings at the same location.
Who cares if there’s gang members they don’t bother u or do they !?
