The economy has been tough and the San Francisco Unified School District wants to help out local workers. The Board of Education is considering a resolution that would encourage contractors to hire local workers for projects on school campuses.

Soon you may have to pay a little more to drive around the Mission. San Francisco lawmakers want voters to approve a vehicle license fee that would generate more than $70 million for the city.

And if you’re feeling the holiday spirit a little more this year, you are not alone. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, traditional holiday cards are making a comeback this year after years of decline.
