The San Francisco International South Asian Film Festival is going on now!

The festival wraps up Sunday with “Valley of Saints,” a Kashmiri eco-romance that follows a young proletarian boatman as he assists a Kashmiri-American woman in her scientific studies of beautiful Dal Lake. The film won the World Cinema Audience Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. It plays at 6:30 p.m. at the Roxie Theater, 3117 16th St. Tickets are $10.

Other highlights of the festival include Friday’s 9:40 p.m. showing at the Roxie of international short films that “examine the limits of human desire in the face of life and death”; and “Decoding Deepak,” an examination of spiritual teacher Deepak Chopra directed by his son, Gotham (6:45 p.m. at the Castro Theater, 429 Castro St.).
