PG&E needs to focus more on the safety of people, in regards to their practices. If they did not but politicians that eased their regulations, we would not see such dangerous incidences. This is exactly why we need to rid Sacramento of special interests.
What type of business corporation puts its profits ahead of people’s safety and puts millions of dollars into Sacramento, drowning out the voices and votes of average Californians. We need to put a stop to special interest money in politics and put the political power back in the hands of the people. PG&E, this is unacceptable!
Don’t all corporations put profits ahead of all else ?
This is a true tragedy, and a great example of why we need to remove special interests from government. They simply wield too much influence,
and this time it cost lives. My prayers go out to the families of the victims. PG&E has spent millions of dollars on politics and has spent 1.2 million this year already. They’ve shifted the attention of our politicians to them. That just isn’t acceptable.
They spend too much on buying Sacramento and they spend too much onh bonuses – not enough on protecting their customers and on ensuring the safety of their equipment. Not one person I know believes that they don’t cut corners and that these workers were not bullied into recanting!
PG&E needs to prioritize safety! This is the 2 year anniversary of the San Bruno incident that KILLED 8 PEOPLE. Maybe if they stopped spending so much on politics and didn’t buy the people in charge of monitoring them, such tragedies wouldn’t occur.
