You may have noticed that everything is half off at Room 4, the small vintage shop on Valencia and 20th streets. That’s because owner David Marks will be closing the store’s doors for good on Aug. 15.
While Marks was talking to Mission Loc@l, he had to interrupt briefly to answer the phone. Someone wanted to buy his mannequins.
“No, I’m not selling them,” he said. “I’m going to keep them. I need them. The store might be over, but I am going to keep selling stuff.”
Marks, who has decided to move to his native Texas with his partner, is planning to keep the store alive through pop-ups and sales at flea markets on the road. You can keep up with Room 4 on Twitter and Facebook.
Sad to hear the shop will be closing, but glad that David is keeping the spirit alive.
