A two-alarm fire in a residential building on 26th Street near South Van Ness Avenue was quickly extinguished this morning, writes the SF Appeal.

Firefighters responded to the blaze inside an attic at around 7:15 a.m. on Monday, fire department spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge told the Appeal.

The fire was contained by 7:36 a.m. and under control by 7:51 a.m., Talmadge said.

Everyone got out of the building without injury, and the fire did not spread to any of the floors below, writes the Appeal.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
